On Friday I did a school visit in Rockdale County (Conyers) Georgia...at a lovely school named Barksdale, which even has its own china! courtesy of a Mrs. Barksdale, an early educator the school is named for. Their media specialist, Jone Williams, is a real dynamo, as are her helpers...and made Papa and I feel most welcome! It was fun to talk to the kids about Carole Marsh Mysteries,
have a delicious southern homemade lunch

(what a treat!), and autograph my old and new mysteries to so many bright and nice, young readers! This K-5 (plus a Pre-K class now) is really a crackerjack school with lots of spirit, discipline, courtesy, kindness, enthusiasm, and love! If you are down on education, well, just go visit a school like this—it will change your mind! Thanks for the visit, folks, and blog-readers, hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed the visit and all the hugs, especially!
